KUALA LUMPUR: SapuraKencana Petroleum Bhd has bagged five contracts totalling US$300mil or RM1.34bil including to provide its underwater services, offshore installation work and rigs.
The oil ang gas heavyweight said on Monday its unit SapuraKencana Subsea Services Sdn Bhd was awarded a two-year contract to provide underwater services for Petronas Carigali Sdn Bhd.
It said the work included underwater services together with vessels, air and saturation diving, remotely operated vehicle and other related underwater services. The services included inspection, maintenance and repair to support Petronas Carigali's underwater facilities offshore Peninsular Malaysia.
The second contract involved SapuraKencana GeoSciences Sdn Bhd providing soil investigation services for one year in the Peninsular Malaysia and Sarawak/Sabah operation areas.
Its third contract was for SapuraKencana TL Offshore Sdn Bhd to provide Hyundai Heavy Industries with offshore installation work of BNCPP-B jacket, foundation piles and bridge structure between BNCPP-B to BNG-B.
The contract would be in East Malaysia and work was expected to start in the Q1, 2017.
As for the fourth job, SapuraKencana TL Offshore was awarded a 12-month contract by Repsol Oil & Gas Malaysia Ltd to provide transportation and installation of pipeline and topside for the Bunga Pakma development project.
Under the fifth contract, SapuraKencana Drilling was hired by Brunei Shell Petroleum Sdn Bhd to provide its tender assist drilling rig “SKD Alliance”. The contract is scheduled to start in April 2018 for a firm period of five years with options to extend for an additional five years.
