SapuraKencana Petroleum Bhd has appointed Eduardo Antonello as non-executive director replacing Tor Olav Troim as a nominee of Seadrill Ltd. Antonello is a member of the executive management team of Seadrill and has strong relationship with SapuraKencana. John Fredriksen would continue to be an alternate director of the company.

SapuraKencana posts RM1.17bil in pre-tax profit

SapuraKencana Petroleum Bhd has posted a pre-tax profit of RM1.17 bil for the first half of its 2015 financial year, a 91% jump from RM610 mil from the previous year, boosted by its drilling segment.

SapuraKencana gets income boost from Newfield

When the Newfield asset was purchased, sceptics had questioned its value growth as it had unproven exploration assets.

SapuraKencana unit discovers gas offshore Sarawak

SapuraKencana Petroleum Bhd’s unit, SapuraKencana Energy (SKE), has discovered gas at Bakong-1, the fifth and final well in its 2014 drilling campaign within the SK408 production-sharing contract area offshore Sarawak.
