SAPURA ENERGY BERHAD STRENGTHENS EXECUTIVE LINEUP WITH NEW APPOINTMENTS

Sapura Energy Berhad (“Sapura Energy” or “the Group”), today announced two new appointments to their Executive Committee, effective 14 November 2022. Dominique de Soras has been appointed as the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Sapura Energy’s Engineering & Construction (“E&C”) business, while Norzaimah Maarof has been announced as the new Group General Counsel.

A seasoned oil and gas professional, Dominique brings over 30 years of experience spanning transformation, petroleum engineering, operations management, business development and acquisitions, as well as major project delivery.

Over the years, Dominique has honed his leadership in an international and multicultural environment, with multiple assignments internationally. He has also had extensive experience as a Board member of a diverse range of companies across the globe. Dominique first joined Sapura Energy in July 2021 as Deputy CEO of E&C. Dominique will lead Sapura Energy’s E&C reset initiative.

Norzaimah brings to the fold almost 30 years of wide-ranging corporate commercial expertise across diverse industries, including renewable energy, healthcare, technology, pharmaceutical, chemical, agri-business and plantation. Well-versed in the areas of corporate and organisational restructuring, mergers and acquisitions, and capital and debt markets with a strong governance, risk management, compliance and legal background, Norzaimah’s niche lies in corporate transformations.

Norzaimah has held various key positions in both Malaysian and multinational companies and was a CEO of an operating renewables company where she helmed the successful transformation of the company.
